Job 1:1-2, 4-5 NLT
There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless—a man of complete integrity.
He feared God and stayed away from evil. He had seven sons and three daughters…Job’s sons would take turns
preparing feasts in their homes, and they would also invite their three sisters to celebrate with them.
When these celebrations ended—sometimes after several days—Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself,
“Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 ESV
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Let all that you do be done in love.

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 NLT
And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.
We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy.
For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.
