Lack of faith leads to loss of blessing! #TheStoryOfDeborah
The 5:
A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “When God Calls” in 5 points or less.
- Delayed obedience is disobedience
- God’s calling has an urgency on it that cannot be delayed or re-prioritized…if we hesitate we may miss the opportunity and the blessing
- Any bargain with God only cheats you.
- Any ‘bargain’ with God sets a limit on his blessings and generosity towards you, we are literally bargaining away the unlimitedness of the blessings of God!
- If you’re constantly worried about what you’re leaving, you’re going to have a hard time following.

Kids Zone: Take It Home With You!
What We Learned:
In John 4:4-26, we read about a woman who met Jesus at a well. She was trying to hide from other people, and even from Jesus because of her sin. But Jesus told her he had come to make sin go away forever! It wasn’t an accidental encounter, Jesus knew where she would be and went out of his way to be sure he met her. Read more about this lesson in John 4 in your bible! The Big Idea for our week is Don’t hide sin, let Jesus in!
In The Car:
Tell your kids about a time you tried to cover up your sin, and how that worked out. Have your kids share, but maybe give them a “freebie” this one time, so they feel comfortable enough without being afraid of getting in trouble. Tell your kids that Jesus is the same way, sin is NEVER ok! BUT, he shows us grace by not punishing us for sin even when we deserve it! Jesus loves us enough to take our sin away forever!
At Bedtime:
Pray every night this week! Thank God for giving us things like Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, and Self Control! Try to focus on a different one each night. Ask God to help you focus on his goodness this week as you confess your sin, and ask him to take it away forever! Don’t hide sin, let Jesus in!
