What Type of Foundation Are You Building?

Guys, in the home as the husband and father, you set the tone. How you behave, respond, react, and act will often be the catalyst for the behavior of everyone else, and determine the course of their decisions. Knowing this, a you must set your mind to loving your family, and everyone in it unconditionally. Your unconditional love for your family is the very foundation upon which the rest of their lives are built!

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “I Will Love My Family Unconditionally”
in 5 points or less.

  1. Pass on the legacy of forgiveness and extend what you received in Christ so your family can do the same.
  2. It’s your responsibility to reflect God’s love, not hoard it.
  3. God loves based on his character, not on our behavior.
  4. The unconditional love of God is the catalyst of our salvation.
  5. Truth is truth–it doesn’t change because culture changes.

What We Learned:

The Israelites were in an impossible situation, the most powerful army in the world was at their back and a vast sea was in front of them—there was no where to go! But God Makes the Impossible, Possible! He split the sea in two, and they crossed on dry ground! Then God wiped out the army of Egypt and brought the water crashing down on them.  No matter what we face in this life there is always hope with God. God Makes the Impossible, Possible!

In The Car:

Share about a time when you were in an impossible situation. Was it life and death, a friendship, or a problem at home? How did God show you that anything is really possible with him? Or are you still waiting to see how God is handling it?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God for his ability to do make what we see impossible, possible with him. Thank him for creating it all, even for creating us! Ask that no matter what the situation the God would help us focus on him and not get lost in feeling hopeless. Praise him for making the Impossible, Possible!
