I will pursue my God recklessly! I will improve myself continually! I will love my family unconditionally! I will do my job excellently! #MANifestoSeries

Here’s the truth: You are responsible for you.

In an age of irresponsibility and an unwillingness to take responsibility it’s essential that as men we continually compare ourselves to the ultimate man Jesus Christ and strive to make the changes necessary to reflect his life and character. Yesterday, I challenged each of you to continually improve yourselves and do whatever is necessary to strengthen your spirits, discipline your bodies, guide your emotions, and sharpen your minds. So, let’s get to it, guys! —Dave

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “I Will Improve Myself Continually”
in 5 points or less.

  1. Everything flows out of your connection with God.
  2. Physical well-being affects your health, mood, and ability to think clearly; lack of it opens you up to greater temptations.
  3. Allow our emotions to inform but not infect our decisions.
  4. Our mind is the gateway to our soul.
  5. Ladies, you don’t want a guy “in touch with his feminine side.”

What We Learned:

In our Bible the Pharaoh of Egypt was stubborn, and refused God’s command to let his people go! God turned the water of Nile river into blood to show the Pharaoh his mighty power. As loving as God is, he also can’t tolerate sin. He is righteous, and will use any person or situation to show his mighty power and love to the world.

In The Car:

Everyone tell about a time when you disobeyed your parents, and had to have a not-so-fun consequence as a result. How did the consequence show love and mercy even if it was hard to accept?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your child thanking God for his mighty power! Pray that as your child grows they would use something as common as water to be reminded of God’s power and love for them no matter where they are.
