Recognizing the presence of God removes the power of fear! -Dave Crandall #Conquer2016
The 5:
A recap of Dave Crandall’s message “Conquer Fear” in 5 points or less.
- If you are still breathing, God has good things in store for you!
- The key to conquering fear is recognizing His presence, not just knowing his presence is there.
- Coincidences are not random things that happen — they are intentional acts of a compassionate God who is working behind the scenes to make things happen so that you can become the man or woman God has called you to be.
- So often we allow even things that are good but are difficult to create a sense of fear in us simply because we don’t stop and recognize the presence of God.
- This year, 2016, I challenge you to keep an eye out for God, because God is presently working in your situation and He has publicly declared “I AM GOD, I am with you, and I am here to help.

Kids Zone: Take It Home With You!
What We Learned:
We learned about the wisest man who ever lived! King Solomon was offered anything he wanted from God, and he chose wisdom to lead God’s people over anything else.
Check out 2 Chronicles 1:1-13 to learn more! Kids were challenged with the Big Idea this week: Get Wise! Wisdom Comes From God! They were challenged to read Proverbs 9:10 five times this week, and to practice wisdom both at home AND at school!
In The Car:
Tell your kids about a time you used knowledge instead of wisdom, and how that backfired. Or tell your kids about a time when you didn’t know what to do, so you had to ask God for help? Ask them what Solomon chose in the Bible. Ask them to tell you the difference between knowledge and wisdom (we used M&Ms for our lesson, that may help them remember!)
At Bedtime:
Read Proverbs 9:10 together in your Bible. Use your child’s Bible if they have one. Pray together that God would give your kids wisdom as they grow. Pray for God to give you wisdom as a parent to help them seek God in all that they do!
