Belt of Truth = Protected the lower region and strapped tightly to hold up armor and weapons
Breastplate of Righteousness = Protected vital organs including the heart
Gospel of Piece (shoes/boots) = Allowed you to move easily in the field of battle by protecting your feet from debris and terrain.
Shield of Faith = Scutum 4ft x 3ft. Protected them from spears, rocks or other hurled objects
Helmet of Salvation = Protected the head / brain
You see God gives us all these tools to guard our hearts and our minds while allowing us to move freely and easily to glorify Him through our actions. But The Word of God is the only one that can destroy any strong hold allowing you to advance.
First you must understand what you are fighting for? Yourself, your family, or something else? Is it fulfill your purpose and bring glory to God?
We must pick up our sword and be prepared to do battle. We must help and encourage others to fight the good Fight/destroy the stongholds. For if God is for us, then who is against us.
Challenge: Commit yourself to finding a sparring partner, picking up the Sword of the spirt that suit you, and begin your practice by executing a 60 day reading plan.
