God doesn't hold on to your past, why are you?

- Your past has been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. When he said, “It is finished,” there was an exclamation point, not a question mark!
- He released you to become the man or woman that He has destined you to be…but you’ll never get there if you keep holding onto your past, or allowing your past to hold onto you!
- Your past doesn’t define you, but it can refine you.

What We Learned:
The Bible is filled with strange occurrences and odd events. The people of God were enslaved in Egypt, so God brought ten plagues upon the land. Through these plagues – like frogs filling the country and gnats rising from the dust – God displayed his power, showed his love for his people, and proved that he is the one true God. Check out more in Exodus 8-15!
In the Car:
This week kids are challenged to recognize God’s power in one way everyday. Get the conversation going, ask your kids what it would be like to live through one of the plagues we learned about today? What was the weirdest thing they learned on Sunday?
At Bedtime:
Read 1 Corinthians 2:9 in your Bibles together. Pray thanking God for keeping his people safe from the plagues. Pray that God would use us to show the world just how awesome and powerful he is!
