Romans 8:1-4 NLT
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

THE BIG IDEA:

In Christ ___________________!

2 Corinthians 7:10 NIV
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Guilt vs Shame:

Guilt says: I __________________________________________

Shame says: I _________________________________________

The Devil wants to use your _____________ to drive you away from God

because __________________________.

God wants to use your _____________ to draw you to his grace so ______________________________.

1 John 1:9 NIV
If we confess our sins, he [God] is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Philippians 1:6 NLT
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you,

will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

2 Corinthians 2:9 NLT
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP
Now to Him who is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think,
infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the
glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen!
