Easter is about ____________ and ________________!
John 11:3 NLT
So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.”
John 11:11-17 NLT
Then he said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up.” The disciples said, “Lord, if he is sleeping, he will soon get better!” They thought Jesus meant Lazarus was simply sleeping, but Jesus meant Lazarus had died. So he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And for your sakes, I’m glad I wasn’t there, for now you will really believe. Come, let’s go see him.” Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go, too—and die with Jesus.” When Jesus arrived at Bethany, he was told that Lazarus had already been in his grave for four days.
Genesis 2:17 NIV
But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.
John 11:38-40,43-44 HCSB
Then Jesus, angry in Himself again, came to the tomb.
It was a cave, and a stone was lying against it. “Remove the stone,” Jesus said. Martha, the dead man’s sister, told Him, “Lord, he’s already decaying. It’s been four days.”
Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”…After He said this, He shouted with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
The dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him and let him go.”
1 Corinthians 15:54-55 NIV
…“Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
