Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; Rebuke a wise man and he will love you. Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; Teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning. Proverbs 9:8-9
Reading for today: Proverbs 9:1-18
How do you respond when people correct or criticize you? Our response reveals a tremendous amount about ourselves. Do you react bitterly and upset, or are you thankful that someone cared enough to show you and error in your ways? Do you take what people say to heart and grow stronger for it or do you reject it and make excuses? Make it your goal to receive correction and confrontation with the goal of removing the rough edges and becoming more like Christ.
