31 Days of Wisdom | Day 17

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; So drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14
Reading for today: Proverbs 17:1-28
Do you feel like you always have to be right? How many times has that lead you into a sizeable argument with someone? Solomon says here that we need to stop worrying so much about being perceived as being right, and be more concerned about being peaceable. Paul tells one of his churches, “…as much as it is up to you, live at peace with all men.” This of course isn’t always possible, but if you seem to find yourself in argument after argument, and discussion after discussion you might have a problem. Take his advice and drop the matter before it’s too late.
