"My favorite thing about volunteering is feeling like part of a family...knowing I'm working for the Lord and hopefully helping guide others to Him."

At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Tiffany Hogue is one of the many smiling faces you’ll see at Friendship’s Connection Center. Her heart to help people get connected and take their Next Steps shows through in every interaction.

What brought you to Friendship originally?
Steve and I were not feeling connected at the church we were attending, so we started looking online for other churches to check out in the area. Friendship was the 3rd church we checked out and we knew after the first service that this was our new home church. That was over 4 years ago.

Do you have any pets?
Yes, Pastor Dave’s favorite animals… kitties!! Our fur babies are: Rocky Socks, Trina Marie (or Princess Maria) and Winston Boots (or Boo Bear)

What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas!! The whole atmosphere at Christmas time is so uplifting. I would love to have a room decorated for Christmas year round and when you are feeling blue, you just go into this room, flip the switch and Christmas music starts playing, and lights start twinkling everywhere – see you are smiling just thinking about that

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?
what is spare time? LOL

What would be your biggest fear?
Oh my I have so many (I’m a worst case scenario worrier at times)… but my biggest fear is flying! I wish I didn’t hate it so much but I do.

Which cartoon character is your favorite?
Skipper from the Penguins of Madagascar… they all crack me up but Skipper is the best!

Kraft Mac & Cheese… I have it at least once a week

What would be your dream vacation?
A beach is all I dream of when it comes to vacation

What is your favorite scripture?
Phil. 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! I also like Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Name one person, living or deceased, that you would like to have a conversation with.
I would love to talk to my grandparents! I know that’s more than one, but I never met either of my grandpa’s and my dad’s mom passed when I was young but I have good memories of spending time with her and occasionally I’ll have a dream and she’ll be there. I sure do miss her!

What is your proudest moment in life?
I guess it would be just making it through this thing called life…I got pregnant at a young age, I didn’t go to college, but I’ve always been an independent chick. I’ve got a healthy son who I’ve raised and provided for since birth, I’ve always worked… started working at an insurance company 14 years ago and have been promoted over the years (and again I have NO college). I met my wonderful husband online (who would have thought match.com), I’ve got a beautiful step-daughter, we all have our health, so life is good.

What is your favorite restaurant?
I have so many… I love food!  First restaurant that came to mind though was PF Changs… mmmmm Changs Spicy Chicken.

Do you have any pet peeves?
People without common sense and those who take everything seriously!

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?
My babies (teenagers) being baptized!!

What has been your favorite Friendship series?
