"Church is now something that we look forward to each week..." -Ben Werner

Werners_StoryBen & Aly Werner both grew up going to church with their families every Sunday in very traditional type churches. “It was something that we did because it was what was ‘expected’ of us to do,” shared Ben.

After they got married they began attending church together, but they just didn’t feel like they were truly getting what they wanted or needed out of their church service each week. A little over a year ago they decided to take a chance and leave where they had been attending for years to try out several new places.

“Our first place to ‘try’ was Friendship. We had all intentions of trying out several other places before committing to one, but after our first visit at Friendship we couldn’t leave!” the couple shared.

The Werner’s walked out of Friendship after their first time and were so excited! “We could not believe how relevant the sermon had been to our own lives, and that was just what we were looking for…something that was going to be meaningful to us each week, and would help our family grow and learn together.”

Church is now something the couple looks forward to each week, instead of just something that they ‘have to go and do’.

“We have already grown so much in the last year thanks to Friendship!”
