I am encouraging because I have a God who encourages me!

I am encouraging because I have a God who encourages me!

2 Corinthians 7:5-6 NLT
When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside. But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus.

4 Ways to encourage like God!

Encourage others Daily

Hebrews 3:13 NIV
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

Encourage others Creatively

Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Encourage other Spiritually

Romans 1:10-12 NLT
One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.

Encourage others Publicly

Matthew 3:17 NIV
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

My goal during this series is to dive into the Word of God so that we can renew our minds to #StayPositive in a chronically negative world. We live in the reality of media that “If it bleeds it leads.”

Voices of discouragement surround us from the moment we wake until we go to bed at night. You may have not heard an encouraging word from anyone this week, this month, or even this year!

So you ask the question, “Why should I be encouraging?”

When there’s trouble on the outside and fear on the inside, we serve a God who encourages the discouraged! (2 Corinthians 7:5-6 NLT)

Are you discouraged today? God is looking to encourage you! It may be through the message today, it may be through a conversation, or a hand shake, it may be through your child, or the song on the radio, but our God is a God who intentionally encourages the discouraged!

Dad’s, our Heavenly Father is an encourager. I would challenge all of the dads and husbands to make the commitment to become the CEO of your home…Chief Encouragement Officer.

There is nothing quite like having your dad encourage you. For most of us our moms look at the ridiculous hand turkey we made and said it was a masterpiece. You know she will be in your corner to support, but there’s just something special when you dad says something that encourages you

If you think something good, say it! That might be the only encouraging word another person hears all day.

Staying connected to believers will encourage you spiritually. You will find that when stay away from church for a while, your going to get discouraged. It is a part of this world.

And encourage others publicly just as God demonstrates (Matthew 3:17)
