Kids Zone: Take It Home With You!
What We Learned:
Our Big Idea today was Boaz protected Ruth by obeying God! Boaz was a man who loved and obeyed God. Although he could have ignored or taken advantage of Ruth’s vulnerable position, he chose to obey God by protecting Ruth, and even married her! God blessed them by giving them a baby, and that baby was the great, great, great, (and many more greats) grandfather of Jesus himself!
In the car:
Tell your kids about a time where you protected them by obeying God’s word. Maybe it was by disciplining them even if it was hard to do, or making a choice to take a better job or move to a new city? Let them know how your choices to obey God, keep them safe!
At bedtime:
Pray with your kids thanking God for his protection on your family. Even if things seem scary or hard, we know God is there. Thank him for giving us parents, family, and teachers to protect us. Pray that they would grow up to be kids who help protect others!
