There Is Nothing Like the Bible

The Bible is the best-selling, most read, most translated, most copied, most hotly debated, banned, burned, and attacked book. God is the source of it all, all of the information found in the Bible has the same primary source, that’s God. Therefore, if any of the information of the Bible is false, then the source, God, cannot be trusted. But yesterday we dove deep into the Word and learned five reasons WE CAN trust the Bible.

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message,
“How Can You Trust the Bible?” in 5 points or less.

  1. There is nothing in the history of man that has made a bigger difference in the lives of people than the truth of the Bible.
  2. The transformational power of the Word of God can change a man who hates, to one who loves. One who steals into one who gives all he has away. One who kills into one who brings new life!
  3. The Bible will change a man’s heart, his soul, his desires!
  4. Every book of the Bible carries the same common thread and themes: the Sovereignty of God, the Depravity and rejection of God by Man, God’s redemption, forgiveness, and grace found in the person of Jesus Christ.
  5. Five reasons we can trust the Bible: It’s historical accuracy, scientific reliability, thematic unity, prophetic accuracy, and transformational superiority.

What We Learned:

Jericho was an impenetrable city because of it’s thick walls. God brought those walls tumbling down in seconds by using people to march around the city and shout! Check out more on this story in Joshua 5-6.

In The Car:

Talk about a time when you got stuck because of an obstacle in your way. How did God show you to rely on him for help, and how to conquer it?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God for helping us overcome any obstacle. Thank him for his power and strength. Pray that God would show you how to rely on him as you fight through any obstacles in your way!

Weekly Challenge:
