"My favorite part about volunteering is giving parents their time to worship without worrying about their children. " -Robin

At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Robin Buckler first attended Friendship when she came to witness family members being baptized. I felt at home right away. I started attending and then volunteering shortly after.

What is your favorite thing about volunteering?
Giving parents their time to worship without worrying about their children. I am a kid at heart, so hanging with the 2 years-olds on Sunday mornings is both fun and exhausting for this grandma.

What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving: We have family from several states that come to Franklin. We make it a week-long event, with shopping in Nashville, IN to board games. A bunch of eating and laughter. Love family time.

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?
Volunteering and serving. Besides volunteering with the Kids Zone 2 year olds, I volunteer outside of church.  I am a KicIt board member where I volunteer weekly at the center. We provide a network for homeless youth ages 16-25 serving Johnson Co. I also raise funds for Relay for Life and I am on the Cancer Fears Prayer team. If I have spare time, my husband and I enjoy hiking.

What do you do for a living/career?
I am an office manager/customer service/data entry, for sales reps.

What is the last book you have read?
My last read was a Jack Reacher book. I am currently re-reading, The Shack and To Kill A Mockingbird.

What would be your dream vacation?
A secluded cabin with fishing and hiking. Maybe reading a good book.

If you had a super power, what would it be?
Healing, definitely healing.

What is your favorite scripture?
Philippians 4:13: For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Name one person, living or deceased, that you would like to have a conversation with.
My dad who passed Oct 2000.
