People are just people, but God is always God! #GodAndPoliticsFC

God’s 7-Part Platform for Panicked People

Yesterday Dave shared 7 truths of God that we can firmly place our hope and confidence in. He will keep every promise. He will right every wrong. He will feed every soul. He will free every captive. He will heal every hurt. He will lift every heart. He will love, protect, care, and defend everyone who calls Him LORD!

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “Our Only Hope”
in 5 points or less.

  1. A proper perspective begins with praise.
  2. God’s blessings can’t be removed or enhanced by any person.
  3. Instead of allowing this political season to erode your trust in your fellow man, use this time to deepen your faith in God.
  4. It doesn’t mean that you sit sanctimoniously in your spiritual corner and decry everyone that doesn’t believe like we do.
  5. And it certainly doesn’t mean that we sit out and ignore our God-given duty of being good and involved citizens, but it does mean that no matter what happens in November, God is still in control, God’s still on the throne, and you are still His child!

What We Learned:

Love God, and Love People Like God! In Mark 12:28-34 Jesus sums up the entire Bible in two easy points, love God and love your neighbor like yourself. We learned that everyone is our neighbor, and paired with our fun #KidPresident video of 20 things we should say more often we were inspired to get loving someone!

In The Car:

Tell your kids about how you have been challenged to show people at your work love instead getting frustrated or being impatient. How has this changed your attitude, not just theirs?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God for loving us enough to send his Son to die for us. Thank him for always showing us love, even when we aren’t being very lovable with our actions. Pray that God would help us to show love for others even when they don’t deserve it.

Weekly Challenge:

#SOCKTOBER CONTINUES!
Kids have been challenged to bring in socks for kids and grown-ups for the ENTIRE month of October! We can change our world, and impact families right here in our own community! A little bit of love goes a long way. How can your family get involved in the #SOCKTOBER service challenge?
