Your thoughts direct your behavior. #SmallThingsBigDifference

SmallThingsBigDiff_SM19

The 5:

A recap of Andy Wendling’s message “Your Thoughts” in 5 points or less.

  1. When our thoughts have so much power over us, the power to affect our behavior, it is very important for us to reign them in when they get out of control.
  2. We cannot remain passive in this situation, there is nothing passive about this process of attacking the lies.
  3. The problem when we try to fix our thoughts with things of this world is we come up short, we get a temporary solution, a band aid. Next thing you know, the thoughts are back. Let’s not copy these things, lets turn to God.
  4. We can’t just simply think happy thoughts, or try harder to get rid of these lies. We need to demolish them!
  5. Do the small things, changing one thought at a time, to get to the big thing, a change in your behavior.

Kids Zone: Take It Home With You!

What We Learned:

Yesterday we talked about the fear of failure. Fear of failure comes from inside us, and it starts when we doubt our own ability. We need to give that fear to God so we can try
new things and enjoy all God has in store for us!

In the car:

Are there things your kids won’t or haven’t tried because of fear? Encourage them to get on their skates, or on their bike, or whatever it is one more time. Be there by their
side to help them through!

At dinner time:

Help your kids try something brave by offering a new fruit or vegetable for everyone to try at dinner! Be adventurous, try Starfruit or Dragonfruit together and see what you all think!

At bedtime:

Pray with your kids and thank God for giving us victory over fear! We can praise God for not letting fear control us. Read Psalm 27:1 in your Bibles together!
