You Asked For It!

A Wrap Up To a Life-Changing Series

We asked, and God answered. Through this series we’ve watched God do some incredible things in the hearts and minds of hundreds, if not thousands of people. We challenged ourselves to ask the hard questions and God has been faithful to reveal Himself through the answers. But let’s not let the desire to learn more about God, faith, and the Bible end with this series. Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to continue to prompt those questions within us so that it stirs our desire to dig deeper into His Word, and encourages us to be able to answer these questions for those who are asking.

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “You Asked For It”
in 5 points or less.

  1. We are all stamped in the image of God, no matter the color of our skin.
  2. There is only one race – the human race.
  3. As Christians we are to be known by our love. It’s not by our judgement, it’s not by our attacking.
  4. God loves us just the way we are. And that’s true. But God loves us too much to allow us to stay the way we are. Because God knows that if we are living in sin, we are not experiencing his best. And God loves us too much to say, “I’m just gonna let you stay the way you are and allow you to experience these painful things that are coming your way.”
  5. God wants us to become more like His Son Jesus Christ, regardless of where we are in life and what we’re involved with.

What We Learned:

God made all of us unique, but he also made us to fit together perfectly to spread his love to the world. Spreading the message of God’s love is the most important thing we can do to change the world. Read more about this in 1 Corinthians 12 and 13!

In The Car:

Tell your kids about a time when someone showed you love in an unexpected way. How did that change your attitude, or the way you treated others around you?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids, and thank God for his endless love for us! Ask God to give us opportunities to share his love with people who don’t know about him. Pray our love for God and our love for people would radiate from us, like light from the sun! That people would truly see how much we love God, by how we love others!

Weekly Challenge:

Share SOCKTOBER with someone new, and spread God’s love! Little people working together can make a BIG difference! As we come together this October to share God’s love with the world, kids are challenged to collect NEW socks for homeless kids and families right here in our local community! Share one of our Facebook posts, talk about it with a new friend, or call you grandma and ask for some socks for needy kids! Together we can make a BIG difference!
