3 Things I want solo parents to know:

  1. You are not in this alone!

    1 Corinthians 12:26 NLT

If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

  2. God hasn’t abandoned you!

    Genesis 16:13 NIV

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

  3. Although your situation isn’t ideal, it isn’t desperate either!

    2 Corinthians 9:8 HCSB

And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.

3 Things I want to challenge blended parents on:

  1. Find common ground

    Amos 3:3 NLT

Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?

  2. Never use your child as a weapon

    Psalm 127:3 NLT

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.

  3. Be the bigger parent

    Romans 12:18 NIV

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

    Philippians 2:3 HCSB

Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.
