"When you were born, you were no ordinary child. It’s up to you to decide if you’re going to live an extraordinary life.” -Erwin McManus #TheArtisanSoul

  1. God has an amazing way to awaken how and who we were meant to be.
  2. It’s time you stop accepting that you are less and start knowing that you are more!
  3. The whole story of God’s interaction with humanity begins with God creating the universe. Everything in the scriptures is letting us know that God is the creative God.
  4. God takes someone from what looks like an ordinary being and he does something extraordinary through them!
  5. God is the fulfillment to the promise that there has never been an ordinary being born into this planet.

Kids Zone Experience: Take It Home With You!

KidsZone_6-7

What we learned:

Zacchaeus was a bad guy. He cheated people and they hated him for it. He was all alone and had no friends, but then one day Jesus came to his town. Jesus sought out Zacchaeus in front of everyone and honored him by staying at his house. Jesus cared about Zacchaeus and Jesus cares about you, too! Luke 19:10 says “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Zacchaeus chose to follow Jesus and made things right with everyone he had ever cheated!

In the car:

Tell your kids about a time when you were lonely.  Was it a result of your bad choices or was it from a circumstance beyond your control?  How did God help you out of it, or how did God help you know that you were loved and cared for?

At bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God for sending Jesus to Zacchaeus, and for sending Jesus to us!  We know that when we make the choice to follow Jesus God gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit.  It’s a part of God that stays with us all the time so we will never have to be alone ever again! Thank God for sending the Holy Spirit to help us stay connected to him!
