At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Jill Bradley has been faithfully serving in Friendship Kids Zone for five years. “My favorite part of volunteering is when a child makes the choice to follow Jesus! Even though this doesn’t happen every Sunday, those mornings are always the best! Those are some of my favorite mornings in general!”

What brought you to Friendship originally?
During the entire summers of 2010 and 2011, I was a childcare assistant at Friendship Kids Preschool and Childcare. Jamie Hampton, the Children’s Ministry Director, invited me to come to church at Friendship on Sunday mornings. I have been coming ever since that day.

What is your favorite holiday?
I don’t have a favorite holiday. I love all holidays!!

What do you do for a career?
I am an ELL (English Language Learning) teaching assistant at Parkside Elementary School in Columbus. I teach small groups of students in kindergarten through sixth grade who need to develop various skills with the English language. Many of these students speak a different language at home, so my job is to give them individualized instruction that will help them to develop the reading, writing, and speaking skills that they need. I take some students out of their classrooms to teach them lessons that I planned; however, I work with other students in their classrooms on their classwork or homework. Also, I substitute teach in any classroom in our building when needed.

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?
My hobbies are watching T.V., reading, meeting friends for coffee or dinner, walking my dogs, and playing with my cat.

What would be your biggest fear?
My biggest fear would be to find a snake in my house or yard. I don’t like snakes!

If you had a super power, what would it be?
If I had a super power, I would go back in time to fix any major mistakes that I make.

What is your favorite restaurant?
I like to eat at Yia Yia’s House of Pancakes for breakfast on Highway 135. Also, I love to eat at Chipotle, Qdoba, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Subway. I love almost all restaurants! lol

Can you speak more than one language?
Yes, I can speak Spanish. I am not a fluent speaker, but I can say many different things in Spanish.

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?
My most memorable moments at Friendship were teaching the Pre-K group of kids one summer, and then the K-1st grade group of kids another summer during Summer Break. These were definitely some of the most fun and memorable times of my life so far!

If you could fly, where would you go?
I would travel to almost every country! Lol Also, I would definitely want to see the Seven Wonders of the World.

Which household chore do you dread doing?
I always dread cleaning out the fridge! It takes forever and can be disgusting!
