Prayer is powerful and purposeful!

Habitual | Covered In Prayer

James 5:16B (NLT)
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Pray at Set Times

Mark 1:35 (NLT)
Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

Matthew 14:23 (NLT)
After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.

Pray Constantly

Pray constantly. Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Phillipians 4:6 (NLT)
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.

Pray Alone and Together

Acts 1:13-14 (NLT)
When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying. Here are the names of those who were present: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (the zealot), and Judas (son of James). They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.

Pray Because It’s For You

Matthew 21:22 (NLT)
You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.

Psalm 102:17 (HCSB)
He will pay attention to the prayer of the destitute and will not despise their prayer.

Psalm 66:20 (HCSB)
May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.

Psalm 6:9 (HCSB)
The LORD has heard my plea for help; the LORD accepts my prayer.

Prayer is simply having a conversation with God.

If you can watch a football game at a set time every Sunday, you can pray at a set time, too.

If you’re busy praying, you don’t have time to worry.

“It [prayer] doesn’t change God. It changes me [you].” – C.S. Lewis

Keep a prayer journal, it will remind you of everything God has done.

You’ll never forget to pray if you remember what God has done through your prayers.

God wants us to experience the power and the wonderful results He brings to us through prayer.
