Revealing your scars begins healing your scars! -Dave Crandall #ProofThatGodHeals

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “Stop Hiding Your Scars” in 5 points or less.

Scars_SM16

  1. We need to be careful that we are revealing our scars, not reveling in them!
  2. Your scars certainly shape your personality, and impact your being, but God never intended for them to define who you are.
  3. Only Jesus can take the pain of your past and transform it into a power filled future.
  4. Allow Christ power to shine through your scars.
  5. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. (John 8:36 NLT)

What We Learned:

God wants us to defend the weak! In Genesis 18:16-33 kids learned that a person of character cares for and defends those who need it. In school there are lots of kids who are lonely or bullied. We can defend them, and show them God’s love by being there for them.

In the car:

Tell your kids about a time when you either defended someone weak, or someone strong helped defend you. Tell them how God is on their side! If they are helping someone in need or standing up for someone weak it makes God super happy!

At bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God that you are their parent and will stand up for them when they need help. Let them know God put you in their lives to defend them and to teach them how to be strong by following God as they grow!
