Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; Someone else, and not your own lips. Proverbs 27:1-2
Reading for today: Proverbs 27:1-27
Paul said it this way, “…do not think of yourself more highly than you should.” We can sometimes get caught up in self promotion, letting everyone know how good we are at a certain task or problem. But, how much better would it be if you just did your best all the time, and let everyone else talk you up, or as Solomon says, praise you. Besides, no one likes to hang around with someone whose favorite subject is the person who greets them in the mirror every morning.
