For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases. Proverbs 26:20

ProverbsReadingPlan_WebEventBar26
Reading for today: Proverbs 26:1-28

What a great comparison. Quarreling is fanned into flame by whispering gossip or rumors. But what if we stop the gossip or rumors? What if we stand up and say we’ve had enough? That spreading these lies or bad-mouthing others is not building each other up (Ephesians 4:29). God says that we should only use our tongues and mouths to build up and not to tear down. So pour water on these fires and watch quarreling cease.
