Your Everything

Philippians 4:13 (New International Version)
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

I remember when I heard this verse for the first time. I was 14 and the Bible was a whole new world for me. This verse was so powerful! I couldn’t believe that God could make such a promise. Did He truely mean “everything”. I was sure that somewhere else in the Bible there would be a disclaimer to this verse. After years of searching I can confidently tell you there is not. God did and does mean “everything”. I can become who God has designed me to be with His strength. He will not abondon me when times get tough. He strengthens us from start to finish and what’s absolutly amazing to me is that He stays even when we sin or we just plan out make a fool of ourselves.

If something in your life is a struggle or even if it’s just that your having a hard day. God is there to strengthen you. “Everything” includes whatever is pressing on your heart today. Just ask Him and He will give the strength to do your “everything”!
