Why The World Didn’t End!

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.  ”No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  Be on guard!  Be alert!  You do not know when that time will come. – Mark 13:31-33

Ever since Jesus left from the Mount of Olives men have attempted to figure out when his promised return would be.  Some men have genuinely sought out of a desire to be fully ready, others (and I personally think our latest prognosticator fits this category) do it for self-glorification and material gain.

Here my dear friends is the bottom line.  Jesus Christ himself said, and I quote, “You do not know when that time will come.”.  Pretty definitive isn’t it?  So, instead of wasting time trying to calculate the day, hour, or even moment of his return, let’s invest our lives in the way he commanded, “Be on guard!  Be alert!”  Jesus basically said, BE READY!

• Be ready by making sure you have a genuine relationship with God through my death on the cross.
• Be ready by reading my Bible and making the necessary corrections to your life.
• Be ready by treating everyone around you as I would have treated them.
