Who Has Time for Quiet Time?

Luke 6:12 “One day soon afterward Jesus went on a mountain to pray, and He prayed to God all night.” {NLT

Quiet Time. It sounds simple enough, but so many of us struggle with actually doing it. Today it’s harder and harder to find the time to meet this challenge. We have more noise in the world today than ever before, add our busy schedules, friends, and families into the mix and voila – no time left for God; your tired, the day is finally over and on some days it can’t happen fast enough. But we cannot allow the world or even friends and family to come between our time with God, He is more important and most of all deserves nothing less than our very best!

Here are some Helpful Hints for a Daily Quiet Time

1. Give Priority in Choosing your Quiet Time
The time you choose must:
-have top priority over everything else
-be the quietest time possible
-be a convenient time
-be consistently observed each day

2. Give God your Full Attention
Read God’s Word
Mark your Bible as you read
Meditate on what you have read
Apply some truth to your life; if you have difficulty in finding an application for yourself ask yourself these questions:
- is there any sin for me to forsake?
- is there any promise for me to claim?
- is there any command for me to obey?
- is there anything to be thankful for?

3. Purpose to share with someone else each day something you gained from your quiet time. This can be a real blessing for them as well as for you!

Be the Blessing!
