When Men FINALLY Lead!

The Bible makes it crystal clear that men are responsible for the leadership of their homes:

For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. – Eph. 5:23

Yet, far too many men simply refuse to lead.  They would much rather be selfish, childish, and boorish!  However, when a man finally decides he will actually lead amazing things start to happen.  Here’s a few things I’ve seen happen over the years…

• When a man leads in the area of grace, his home is at peace.
• When a man leads in the area of worship, his home is filled with spiritual discernment.
• When a man leads in the area of financial responsibility, his home is secure.
• When a man leads in the area of love, he is never without love.
• When a man leads in the area of maturity, he doesn’t have to deal with pettiness in the home.
• When a man leads as a man, his wife can lead as a woman.

As cool as these things are, I want to remind you, that the opposite of these is also true when a man shirks his responsibility:

• When a man is graceless, his home is filled with contention and bitterness.
• When a man refuses to worship, he and his family makes stupid decisions.
• When a man spends money like he’s still a child, his home will quickly crumble.
• When a man thinks he’s too macho to express true love, he will forever be without it himself.
• When a man is immature, he will constantly be nagged and picked on by his wife.
• When a man refuses to lead like a man, his wife has to start wearing the pants.
