When All Is Said and Done

Yesterday we wrapped up the Death & Taxes series at Friendship Church.  The whole point of the series was to get us to look at our lives “in reverse”.  To see what the end is and then make the changes necessary to finish well.

As your living life this week ask yourself how the choices your making are going to impact the end result.  When all is said and done in your life, will you be pleased…or more importantly will God be pleased?

The Apostle Paul at the end of his life was certain, in fact, confident that he had done well.  Read his powerful self eulogy and ask yourself, “will I be able to say this?”

As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.   And now the prize awaits me––the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. – 1 Timothy 4:6-8
