What IS Pleasing to the Lord?!

Sometimes I think we don’t even think twice about what is pleasing to our great God but rather what is pleasing to us. Our flesh, right now, in this moment, we often ask, “What will make me feel good?” and that’s what we run after. In short, THAT is what we worship.

Bit what about this small but powerful verse from Paul in God’s word when he challenges us to “discern what is pleasing to the Lord” [Ephesians 5:10 ESV].

How does that shape up against what you want? Our life is not about grabbing the most self-gratification as possible and whoever has the most at the end wins. That’s not it at all. We live for God, not for ourselves.

You wanna know the answer to “What are we going to do this weekend?” Discern what is pleasing to the Lord. That’s where the answer is.
