What Do We Respond To?

Our response starts with God’s revelation. So many times, people ask me, “What are we responding to?” We are responding to God revealing Himself to us.

He reveals Himself in many ways. Through His Word, through His working, and sometimes through other believers.

Paul says in his letter the Ephesians, “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”

When God reveals Himself, we know Him better. When we know Him, we respond.

This week, we celebrate God revealing Himself through His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
