"My favorite part of Sunday mornings is that unique, fresh wave of encouragement I receive, and it's always from a different source."

At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we’ll highlight a volunteer who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

This week’s Staff Highlight is Traci Crandall, her hidden talent is making homemade candy and she has the privilege of pretty much being her hubby’s sidekick for a living.

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?

I make crafts, paint, and I’m learning to wood burn.

What do you do for a living/career?

Pretty much a side-kick for my hubby

If you had a super power, what would it be?

To give people the ability to not be haunted by past sins/regrets.

What is your favorite scripture?

Philippians 4:8, And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Name one person, living or deceased, that you would like to have a conversation with.

I think some obvious answers would be Jesus and other people in the Bible, but my other choice would be my Granny. I’d like to know her better I feel like I missed some meaningful conversation I could have had with her.

Do you have any pet peeves? If so, what are they?

People talking to me and then stopping mid sentence to do something else and anything that is gross!

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?

My girls being baptized.

Have you ever had the privilege to meet someone famous? If yes, who?

I met the gal who played Mindy on the soap opera Guiding Light when I was ten. I met Christian artists Cindy Morgan and Meredith Andrews, and while walking down the street in Mexico I walked by a dive restaurant and saw Jerry Van Dyke with his wife eating. Our eyes met, he looked at me with panic realizing I saw him and knew who he was. I just smiled and kept walking and he started breathing again and went back to eating.

What is your favorite thing about volunteering?

I love helping someone connect and feel apart of Friendship but I also love helping someone feel better about themselves and who God created them to be

What is your proudest moment in life?

Getting saved, excepting Gods call on my life, marrying my husband & having  my girls
