"My favorite part of serving is seeing and meeting not only new kids almost every Sunday, but establishing strong relationships with their parents so that they know their kids are safe!"

At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we’ll highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Say hello to Tori Miller, the Friendship Kids Childcare Assistant. She loves the kids here at Friendship so much, that after her 5 days of working at the Preschool she then jumps in and volunteers in Kids Zone on Sundays mornings! Her favorite part of serving is seeing and meeting not only new kids almost every Sunday but establishing strong relationships with their parents so that they know their kids are safe!

What brought you to Friendship originally?

At the that time I was still a junior in High School and my sister Krystal Killy told my dad and us about Friendship and that she loved it! So I believe the next Sunday we all came and we had to agree with her! We loved it and soon after we all got baptized together and it’s been 8 amazing years!

What is your favorite holiday?

I would have to say Christmas. I love decorating and baking and gift making!

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?

As most people know, I love sewing and crafting. I love canvas painting, jewelry making, and headbands. There is just a variety of things I love to create!

What do you do for a living/career?

I am the Assistant to the Director of Friendship Kids Preschool right here at the church!

What would be your biggest fear?

Spiders taking over the world or tornadoes. I freak out at either one!

Which cartoon character is your favorite?

That one is really hard! I was a big Disney fan growing up (secretly I still am!) but I was in love with all of the classic Disney princesses!

If you had a super power, what would it be?

Animal control! I have always wanted to know how to talk to animals and interact with them at their level!

Do you have any hidden talents?

Not that I’m aware of…

Who inspires you the most?

My sister. We were never close growing up but one day that all changed and we are best friends! I couldn’t live without her. Her love for God is beyond anything and I just admire and love that about her.

Do you have any pet peeves?  If so, what are they?

Whining and anybody who just refuses to do something even though they can! Okay…I am talking about toddlers here.

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?

That one is hard to choose just one from. There has been so many awesome moments here at Friendship from Baptisms, Summer Break, MOMENTUM Project, etc.
