Take Delight

So the word “delight” isn’t exactly a commonly used word of modern day. You don’t hear many people saying, “Oh, that was delightful!” or “I would be delighted!” unless you’re watching a movie from way back.

But the Bible calls us to delight ourselves in the Lord. Some translations say “enjoy” or “take delight”. However you word it, are you fidning your everything, your joy, your being, in who God is? If so, His Word tells us that He will fill us with the desires of Him.

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4 [NIV]
