Sow What?

“But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” [Luke 8:15 NIV]

So many times in life, we get so excited we over-react and under-think. Jesus made it a point to address that in the parable of the sower. In this story, we hear of 4 different scenarios of seed being planted, or fallen on different surfaces.

The first just fall along the path, meaning they hear the Word of God, but don’t listen to what it says so they don’t believe. The second fall on rock, meaning there is no depth so they don’t believe for long. The third kind fall among thorns, meaning because of where they choose to be their faith gets swallowed up by those around them.

Lastly, the fourth seed falls on good soil, meaning they hear the truth, retain it, and produce goodness from that truth.

It’s up to you what type of soil the seed of God’s truth falls on. What will you sow?

Your response is everything.
