Sing Your Testimony
When you think of the word testimony, you usually think of either something that happens in a courtroom or something that goes on way to long in certain churches on Sunday mornings when the pastor has run out of things to say.
The word “testimony” is literally defined as:
| 1. | Law. the statement or declaration of a witness under oath or affirmation, usually in court. |
| 2. | evidence in support of a fact or statement; proof. |
| 3. | open declaration or profession, as of faith. |
People often ask, “Why is it such a big deal what or if I sing?”
When you sing words, there is no greater testimony as to what you are going, or have had gone, through. When you sing, you say, “This is what I believe to be true. This is what matters to me most”.
So when you gather with other Christ followers and sing HIS praise, you are declaring his praise as your testimony. So sing it like you mean it…because you do mean it. Sing it at the top of your lungs until you have no more breath to sing. Sing your testimony.
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” [Psalm 98:4 ESV]
Your response is everything.
