Sing A Song

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

It’s easy to sing and rejoice when things are going our way, but to recognize that even when we don’t see the Lord being are shield, He still is. To know that God is helping us when we’re having a bad day and it seems like we’re grasping at straws to find any reason to hang on, well that’s when it’s hard to find that song of praise in our hearts.

If today is one of those days for you I would like to encourage you to find a place where you can be alone for just 2 minutes and sing or even hum a song that gives God praise. It may not be easy at first but I’m sure you will end up praising Him or even crying out to Him for longer than 2 minutes. Your song of praise may turn to tears, it may bring peace, joy, or even give you much needed strength. Whatever the outcome, I know it will bring you closer to God and make you realize it was time well spent.
