Reality Check

About once a day I find myself daydreaming. Daydreaming about what could be and what currently is. In those moments, I have to remind myself to come back down and get going at the task at hand. I just get to a point in my day where I’m done with what is and I just what to think a little about what could be.

Those are reality check moments for me. Reality check to know who God has called me to be and what He has for me to do here on Earth.

It’s great to dream, to think about what you want to achieve in life. But God has called us to live in the day He has given us. Today, you have salvation in Jesus Christ. Wait on Him. Remind yourself of that. Give yourself a reality check:

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:17, NIV)

Reality check.
