Proverbs 14 – Wise Women!
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Proverbs 14:1
Ladies, how often are you negative about your husband? Do you “share” stories of your husbands mistakes or flaws with your lady friends? Do you often talk openly about your husbands shortcomings in front of your children? If the answer is yes, than you are a foolish wife!
You see, the key to your house being a strong one is your husband. The Bible very clearly teaches that the husband is the head of the home and as the head he is the leader. An organization, team, or family cannot go any further than the leader can take them. So, if you are constantly deriding your husband, you are, quite literally, tearing your house apart.
On the contrary, if you’ll take the time to build your man up, you will reap all the benefits. Allow me to demonstrate. If you make your husband feel like he can conquer the world, he will take more initiative to do so. If you tell your husband he is wonderful, guess what he’ll become. If you share openly with others about his strengths and achievements, he will work even harder to earn your respect.
Ladies, although your husband is the key to making your home and family great, you are the one who can turn that key!
