Masterpiece

Ephesians 2:10   For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

When I wake up in the morning the last thing that crosses my mind is that I’m God’s masterpiece.  A beautiful sunset, a field of flowers, a rainbow, a sky filled with millions of bright stars, or a waterfall that drops hundreds of feet; now those seem beautiful enough to me to be called God’s masterpiece. 

However, if I believe that the entire Word of God is true then I can not ignore this truth either.  God has proclaimed you and I as His masterpiece.  The dictionary definition of masterpiece is some one’s greatest work, anything done with mastery or skill, a complete example of skill or excellence.  This is completely dumb founding to me.  It makes me stop and realize how valuable I am to God. 

I often wonder if He looks at His masterpiece with the pride of an artist who has just accomplished this amazing feet.  Does my heart make Him smile or bring Him hurt and pain.  He may have created you as the masterpiece but you have to decide how it will be displayed.
