Living For God…..Completely

Have you ever thought about what life would be like if you were to let God take over your life completely? Could you imagine the amount of people you could lead to Christ because they see how joyful you are even when times are tough? What your finances would be like because you honor God by giving joyfully to Him first, and being content with what you have, and most importantly where God has you? How do you think God would bless your marriage because you both have committed to live as the bible tells us to, having a Godly husband as the leader of the home, consistently seeking wisdom & understanding through prayer, and loving his wife just as Christ loved the church? Or a wife that respects her husband’s God given authority and submits to him in love, regardless of the result or where it takes you, because God is in control!

I am not trying to say this is an easy process but I can honestly say that God’s way is better than our way. We have to change the way we think and be accountable for our actions and stop playing the victim, especially to God. Stop asking God why He took someone or something from you and start praising and thanking Him for carrying out His will. We are people that have sinned against God for a very long time, and when we acknowledge that we are in sin, God calls us to turn from it. When will you give God a chance to show you true happiness? Don’t take Him for granted, our God is a jealous God and despises sin, and Revelations 3:15-22 serves as a good reminder that he wants us to be HOT or COLD because He will spit us out if we are lukewarm. I don’t know about you but I don’t want God to dispose of me, so Stand Up or Sit Down because God knows our hearts and we can’t fool Him, like we can fool each other!

Make God’s glory a priority in your life over the temptations of sins that keep us from a life a full of blessings! You will not have a fulfilled life, a good marriage, or even contentment, if God is left out! I love Revelations 3 and the impact it has had on my life as a christian, and most importantly, it’s what I needed to hear so that I can Stand Up and be fearless against satan’s attacks!

Revelations 3:15-22
¹⁵ “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! ¹⁶ But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! ¹⁷ You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. ¹⁹ I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
²⁰ “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. ²¹ Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
²² “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”
