At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we’ll highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Lindsay Behr’s favorite thing about volunteering is having a creative outlet where she can do something for herself, while doing something for other people at the same time. And, as she shared with us, “Not just anything, but something that has the power to transform lives.”

What brought you to Friendship originally?
We had been church shopping for a church on our side of town and one of our friends just happened to use the building to get married in. We figured we should check it out on a Sunday morning, and the rest is history.

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?
I don’t think I have a specific moment, but it has been life changing working with the creative team.

What do you do for a living/career?
I stay at home with my 3 beautiful girls. But on the side I also happen to be a make up artist.

What would be your biggest fear?
Something terrible happening to my children would be an obvious first, but after that comes tornadoes.

If you had to choose one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Either chips and salsa or fruit.

What is your favorite scripture?
It’s so hard to pick just one, but 2 Timothy 2:13 is definitely up there, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful— for He cannot deny Himself.”

Do you have any hidden talents?
Well, I sing, and it may or may not be a secret, but I’m also secretly a stage actress in all of my biggest dreams.

Who inspires you the most?
I’d have to say my hubby, Blake

Name one person, living or deceased, that you would like to have a conversation with.
Four years ago we had a stillborn little boy named Judah born around 17 weeks, I’d give anything to have a conversation with that little man.

Do you have any hobbies during your spare time?
Spare time? I think my hobby is probably thinking about having spare time.

Which household chore is do you dread doing?
I dread putting away my clean dishes and my folded laundry.
