That Four Letter Word

A man gets an incredible amount of pride and joy out of a job well done. For many men however, work has become a drudgery. As men we need to shift our attitudes about our jobs and realize that work is not a four letter word, and redeem the value, joy, and pride in what we do with our hands! It’s time to get to work! –Dave

What We Learned:

We read in the book of Joshua in chapters 3 and 4 about how God stopped the Jordan River from flowing to lead his people into the land he promised them. They we challenged to trust and obey that God would give them what he promised. They faced many hostile enemies, but learned through this amazing miracle, We Can Trust God!

In The Car:

Tell your kids about a time it was hard to trust someone. We know that God will always keep his promises, but people don’t always follow through like God does. This creates doubt and distrust and makes it hard to believe those people when they make us a promise. How can we be trustworthy to others?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids, thanking God for still doing miracles to remind us that we can trust him. Thank him for always keeping his promises. Thank him that we never have to doubt his love or his word. Pray for those who have broken promises to us, and pray that we will be trustworthy people as we follow a trustworthy God!
