The seeds of your faith will only grow as much as you nurture them. #TheMoralOfTheStory

How Much Will You Nurture Your Faith?

We couldn’t have been more excited and thankful to hear from Dustin Pead as we turned the pages of a new series. This week, let’s get understanding, grow roots, glorify faith over fiction, and gain more blessing. Read through Matthew 13:1-23 this week as you grow and nurture your faith.

The 5:

A recap of Dustin Pead’s Message, “The Sower”
in 5 points or less.

  1. If you want to maintain a healthy faith for the long run, you have to have healthy roots.
  2. Don’t put your own limitations on what God can do.
  3. When you plant the seed of God’s truth, get understanding, grow roots, and glorify faith over fiction, you’ll experience so much blessing that the only thing you can do is give it away.
  4. You can be free, but the choice is yours.
  5. Sometimes you don’t know everything, but God does!

What We Learned:

We read in 2 Kings 5:1-16 about an important man named Namaan. Namaan had leprosy and knew that God had the power to heal him. But he was incredibly offended at how easy God made the cure. Thankfully some of his servants talked some sense into him, and he obeyed God and was healed!  People don’t always understand that God’s Way is the Right Way, and can overcomplicate what it means to obey God. This week kids were challenged to simply obey God. Talk to him, read his word, and do what it says!

In The Car:

What is the easiest thing you have ever done for God? What was the hardest? Following God doesn’t always have to be hard!  God loves us all and wants the entire world to follow him!

At Bedtime:

Read 2 Kings 5:1-16 with your kids. Pray together and thank God for making it easy for anyone to follow him! Thank God for giving us the choice of putting him first everyday. Pray for those who are lost, that they might find the way to him. Pray that we would simply obey God this week, and we would help others do the same!
