God’s Expectation of Us
Why is it so hard for us to just remain? It offends our intelligence. It wounds our pride. It challenges our insecurities. Today, in this moment, we challenge you to let go of what’s holding you back from remaining. Allow it to fall to the wayside and look at who He has promised He is in your life.

- If we ‘remain’ then God will remove the unproductive hate, sadness, conflict, irritation, bitterness, evil, betrayal, rudeness, out of control behavior…IN US!
- If we ‘remain’ then God will maximize the positive—not some joy, MUCH joy; not some peace, MUCH peace!
- If we ‘remain’ then God will provide the rest.
- You didn’t choose Him. He chose you.

What We Learned:
John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for Jesus. Jesus came to John to be baptized, because it was part of God’s plan. Jesus is our example to follow in all ways!
In The Car:
Tell your kids about your baptism next time you are driving around. Explain how we are all part of God’s plan. Jesus himself was baptized in obedience to God. Where are you in God’s plan? Take some time this week to figure out what part you are playing in God’s plan. Are you someone that leads people to Jesus like John the Baptist? Or further away from him?
At Bedtime:
Pray with your kids thanking God for sending Jesus to save us. Pray that we would help those around us come closer to Jesus as we play our part in God’s amazing plan!
