The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “Expanding Your Understanding”
in 5 points or less.

  1. When we engage with others about the Word of God it widens our perspective, it takes what we’re seeing from black and white to full color, it clarifies God’s work from 2-D to 4K.
  2. God speaks through His word. Use it always as the filter for everything.
  3. If you want to develop a closer relationship with God, you must listen to God, talk to God, and engage with others.
  4. Personally accept the challenge of reading God’s Word for yourself!
  5. When you talk to God ask for whatever is needed, seek answers for decisions you need to make, and knock to see what doors need to open, or which direction you need to go.

Kids Zone: Take It Home With You!

What We Learned:

We were getting comfortable finding different passages in our Bibles that teach us to Seek God, Get Wisdom, Keep Learning! Check out what we read Sunday: Proverbs 4:4-13, 1 Kings 19:9-13, Job 38:4-20, Ecclesiastes 11:5.

In The Car:

Tell your kids about a time you learned something by reading your Bible, then how a hard or difficult experience taught you about God in a different way. Take turns having each person in the car name something they learned in church this week!

At Bedtime:

Pray with your child thanking God for his wisdom and generosity. God says he will give wisdom to all who seek it, pray and ask God to reveal his wisdom to your family this week.

Weekly Challenge:

Seek God, Get Wisdom, Keep Learning!

How can you do these 3 things this week? Start by cracking open your Bible. Re-read the passages we discussed Sunday and ask God how you can seek him over everything else in life. Ask him for his divine wisdom, and don’t EVER stop learning from every situation God sends your way!
