"My favorite part of Sunday mornings is seeing the kids excited to see me! There isn’t anything in this world that could replace that!"

At Friendship we believe the Church is not a building, it’s people, serving together to glorify God as an effective and influential church. So, each week, we’ll highlight a volunteer or staff member who serves at Friendship, because our volunteers and staff make everything we do possible! We’ve asked each person some fun questions to help you get to know them better.

Many people know Jamie Jo Hampton our Kids Zone Director by her contagious laugh and energetic personality. But did you know that her hidden talents are acting, singing, and dancing, and that her guilty pleasure food is super salty french fries?

What brought you to Friendship originally?

My sister invited me, and my marriage was falling apart, I knew I needed help but didn’t know where else to turn.

Do you have any pets?

That’s funny! Yes. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats, all rescues!

If you had to choose one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Dark Chocolate Peanut M&Ms

Who inspires you the most?

My husband. He is a constant source of truth and strength, he doesn’t let me stay in a funk too long. Always manages to get me happy again.

Name one person, living or deceased, that you would like to have a conversation with.

Judge Judy, she fascinates me.

Do you have any pet peeves?  If so, what are they?

When people misuse words like they’re and their or your and you’re, or anyways.  Drives me insane.

What is your most memorable moment at Friendship?

Getting Baptized with my husband

What has been your favorite Friendship series?

Shades of Grey

What is your favorite thing about volunteering?

Seeing other people discover their gifts and the passion it sparks for serving. I LOVE seeing someone get hooked on kids ministry, that’s how I got my start years ago.

If you could fly, where would you go?

Everywhere! I have always wanted to travel the world, from the Brazilian Rainforests to the African deserts.
